# Add Phersa to GitHub Copilot

Find viral videos, make your own with your AI persona and run comment-to-DM, without leaving GitHub Copilot. GitHub Copilot's agent mode in VS Code connects to Phersa as an HTTP MCP server. Add it to mcp.json, then click Auth.

## Connect GitHub Copilot to Phersa

GitHub Copilot MCP Setup: Add Phersa.

1. ### Step 1: Add the server

    Create or open .vscode/mcp.json in your project and add Phersa. You can also run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette.

2. ### Step 2: Sign in

    Click Auth above the Phersa entry in mcp.json and sign in, approving the access.

3. ### Step 3: Check the connection

    Open Copilot Chat in agent mode, check that Phersa's tools are listed, and ask it to run personas-list.

## What is different about Phersa in GitHub Copilot

- MCP in Copilot needs VS Code 1.99 or later and works in agent mode.
- On Copilot Business and Enterprise, an admin must turn on the "MCP servers in Copilot" policy, which is off by default.
- MCP: Open User Configuration adds Phersa for all workspaces instead of one project.
- The Copilot CLI adds it with copilot mcp add --transport http phersa https://mcp.phersa.com/mcp and signs in with OAuth in the browser.
