How to connect Agent Platform to Phersa

phersa.com/gemini-enterprise-agent-platform
  1. Step 1: Set up a Google Cloud project

Sign in to the Google Cloud console with a billing account, such as a Free Trial, and pick or create a project. Enable the Agent Platform API (aiplatform.googleapis.com) on that project.

Enable the Agent Platform API →
  2. Step 2: Create a service account

In IAM & Admin, open Service accounts and create one. Grant it the Agent Platform User role (roles/aiplatform.user).

    Open Service accounts →
  3. Step 3: Create a JSON key

Open the service account, go to Keys, add a key and choose JSON. Google downloads a key file; keep it private.

  4. Step 4: Add it in Phersa

In Phersa, open Settings, go to API keys and choose Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (Vertex AI). Paste the JSON key, enter your project ID, pick a region and click Save & verify.

  5. Step 5: Let Phersa check it

Phersa creates a short-lived Google access token from the service account and makes a test call to Agent Platform in your region. Credentials Google rejects are not stored, and saved credentials are encrypted.

  6. Step 6: Generate

In the app, pick Nano Banana 2 or Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash on Agent Platform. You see the cost in dollars before you generate, such as $0.067 for a 1K Nano Banana 2 image.

MCP server details

  • Provider keys are added in Phersa Settings only. The Phersa MCP server cannot read, add or change them.
  • settings-keys-status shows which providers, including Agent Platform, are connected.
  • Agent Platform credentials are a service account JSON key, a project ID and a region.
  • jobs-create defaults to dry_run=true and returns a plan without spending. dry_run=false starts a real generation that spends the user's Google Cloud project.

What is different about Agent Platform in Phersa

  • Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform is Google Cloud's new name for Vertex AI, and a different product from the Gemini Enterprise app for employees. In Phersa it runs Nano Banana 2 and Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash; for GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, Grok Imagine Image 2.0 or Grok Imagine Video 1.5, connect another provider.
  • It connects with a Google Cloud service account instead of a single API key: a JSON key, a project ID and a region. Google AI Studio runs the same models at the same prices with one API key. See Google AI Studio
  • Phersa sends Nano Banana 2 and Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash to Google's global endpoint, whichever region you pick; the region is used to check your credentials. The prices shown are Google's global rates.
  • Google bills by output tokens. Nano Banana 2 image output is $60 per million tokens: $0.067, $0.101 and $0.151 for a 1K, 2K and 4K image. Input tokens are billed on top.
  • Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash is in Preview on Agent Platform. Video output is $17.50 per million tokens: $0.101, $0.152 and $0.304 per second at 720p, 1080p and 4K, for 3 to 10 second clips with up to 10 reference images. Thinking tokens are billed on top.
  • Google Cloud has no balance Phersa can read, so track spend and credit in the Google Cloud console.

How do I connect Vertex AI (Agent Platform) to Phersa?

Enable the Agent Platform API on a Google Cloud project, create a service account with the Agent Platform User role and download a JSON key. In Phersa, open Settings, go to API keys, choose Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (Vertex AI), paste the key, enter the project ID and pick a region.

See the setup steps →

Which role does the service account need?

Agent Platform User (roles/aiplatform.user). Google renamed it from Vertex AI User. Creating the JSON key itself needs permission to manage service account keys on the project.

Why can't I create a service account key?

Some Google Cloud organizations block key creation with the policy iam.disableServiceAccountKeyCreation. Ask your organization admin to allow keys for the project, or use a project outside that organization.

Should I use Agent Platform or Google AI Studio?

Both run the same models at the same prices in Phersa. Google AI Studio needs only an API key. Agent Platform uses a service account on your Google Cloud project, which suits teams already on Google Cloud and people using the $300 Free Trial, since that credit does not cover Google AI Studio.

See Google AI Studio →

Is Agent Platform cheaper than Kie for Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash?

No. Kie is cheaper at every setting (Kie vs Agent Platform): $0.525 vs $0.808 at 720p, $0.525 vs $1.216 at 1080p and $0.945 vs $2.432 at 4K. Prices are for an 8-second clip.

What do “Credentials rejected” and “Model not available on this project” mean?

“Credentials rejected” means Google refused the service account: enable the Agent Platform API and grant the Agent Platform User role on the project. “Model not available on this project” means Google could not find the model for your project; check that the model is available to it in Agent Platform.

Is my service account key safe in Phersa?

Phersa tests the credentials with Google before saving them, stores them encrypted and uses them only for generation. AI agents connected over MCP cannot read or change them. Google recommends handling service account keys carefully, so create a dedicated service account with only the Agent Platform User role, and remove the credentials in Settings to delete them permanently.
