PlaceWhat Amazon’s policy says
Direct messagesAllowed in emails, SMS and DMs from your social media accounts when the message is solicited: the person opted in to get it. Never send the link in a DM nobody asked for.
Printed things, ebooks, spoken offersNot allowed: no links in printed material, an ebook, a mailing or any oral solicitation. That is why this tool makes no QR code.
Link shorteners and buttonsNot when they hide that the link goes to Amazon. No cloaking or redirects that hide where the click came from.
DisclosureShow “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” clearly and prominently, and follow the FTC’s rules on disclosing the commission. The Affiliate Disclosure Generator writes the lines for each place.
  • The ASIN is Amazon’s 10-character product code. The tool reads it from /dp/, /gp/product/, /gp/aw/d/, review and offer links, or from the product details on the page.
  • The link is https://www.amazon.com/dp/ASIN?tag=yourid-20: the product and your tracking ID, with search terms and other people’s tracking removed. Amazon’s own help shows the same link with /ref=nosim before the tag. The tool offers both.
  • The store stays the one in the link you pasted. Each Amazon country store pays through its own Associates program. Some join your home account through Amazon’s OneLink; others need their own sign-up. Use a tracking ID that works in that store.

Short links such as amzn.to or a.co hide the ASIN, and the tool doesn’t open links. Open the short link once and paste the full product address.

Send the link only to people who ask for it: everyone who comments your keyword gets it by DM, on Instagram and Facebook Pages. How comment-to-DM works →

How do I make an Amazon affiliate link?

Add your Associates tracking ID to the product’s address: amazon.com/dp/ASIN?tag=yourid-20. The ASIN is the product’s 10-character code under Product Details. Paste the product link into the tool and it builds the link for you.

Where do I find my Amazon tracking ID?

In your Amazon Associates account. You can add more tracking IDs there to tell your channels apart in Amazon’s reports.

Can I send Amazon affiliate links by DM?

Yes, when the person asked for it. Amazon’s Program Policies allow its links in DMs from your social media accounts when the message is solicited, meaning the person opted in. A DM someone asked for by commenting your keyword fits that. A cold DM does not.

Can I shorten my Amazon affiliate link?

Not in a way that hides Amazon. Amazon bans shorteners, buttons and redirects that make it unclear the link goes to Amazon, or that hide where the click came from. A clean amazon.com/dp/ link is short already.

Can I put my Amazon link in a QR code, an ebook or a printed flyer?

No. Amazon’s Program Policies don’t allow its links in printed material, an ebook, a mailing or any oral solicitation.
