BYOK
BYOK, bring your own key, means every image, video and voice generation in Phersa runs on an API key from your own provider account. The provider bills you directly at its published price, and Phersa adds no markup.

Not every provider runs every model. Each provider page lists its models and prices, and the BYOK overview compares them.
Connect a key
Create an API key in your provider account.
In Phersa, open Settings → 02 — API keys and pick the provider.
Paste the key and choose Save & verify. Phersa tests it with the provider before saving it.
Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly Vertex AI) takes a service account JSON, a project and a region instead of a single key.
Which key a generation uses
A clip generates with the model and provider picked for it. New clips use your Default Create Settings, or else the first connected provider in the order of the table above. If a clip's provider has no key, Generate asks you to add one.
Costs
Generate buttons show the provider's published price before you run anything, and the provider bills your account. The Phersa plan never includes or marks up generation. Compare prices on the Pricing page.
Key security
- Keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
- Phersa only ever shows a key's first four characters, and keeps keys out of logs.
- Keys are only used to call that provider for you: to verify them, check them and generate.
- AI agents connected over MCP can't read or change your keys; they only see which providers are connected.
