Edit
Edit is where your clips become one video. Arrange them on video, audio and caption tracks, let Auto Cut trim the silences and Auto Captions write the captions, and export an MP4 ready to post.
Docs menu Edit
Start a video
Choose Compile in Create to get a new Edit project with the results you picked in its Media panel, or choose New Video in Edit and add media yourself. Place the clips on the timeline in the order you want.
The timeline
The timeline has three kinds of tracks:
- V tracks for video clips (V1, V2…),
- A tracks for audio (A1, A2…),
- T tracks for captions and text (T1, T2…).
Select a clip to mute it, set its volume from 0 to 200%, or change its speed from 0.25× to 4×. You can hide a track to leave it out of the export.
Auto Captions
Auto Captions transcribes the speech in your video and places the captions on a text track. Edit the words or the style like any other text.
Auto Cut
Auto Cut finds the silences and trims them out, for a tighter cut. It needs all your video on one track and doesn't add captions; run Auto Captions for that.
Export
Choose Export to render the video as an MP4. It downloads as soon as it's done, and a saved project also keeps it in Results, next to the takes you generated in Create. Post it on your own accounts.
